Any true BMW enthusiast had to know it was a matter of time for BMW
to create a performance version of the X6 Sports Activity Coupe.
One of the last projects overseen by designer Chris Bangle, the X6
has been a pleasant surprise to BMW, having been well received and
standing alone in its segment. The M treatment gives the X6 a 4.4L
twin turbo V8 engine that develops 555hp with 501lb-ft of toque and
0-60mph times of 4.7 seconds. Riding on 20-inch light alloy wheels
with a permanent all-wheel-drive system, the X6M is a worthy
competitor to the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S with a sticker price of
$89,000 to start. For more information visit www.bmwusa.com.
